We are compassionate. We display Christ in what we say and do. We meet people where they are, no matter the circumstance, to show compassion and love just as Jesus would.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4  Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

We are servants. We are quick to help those who are in need. We do the work to serve and support our community in whatever ways we can.

Matthew 20:26-28 Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.

We are skilled. We continually improve our skills through training, practice, and preparing to meet with those in need.

2 Timothy 3:17 So that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

We spend time with God.  We cultivate our relationship with God and operate out of the overflow of our relationship.

We train, prepare, and learn.  We continually improve our skills by training, practicing, and preparing to meet with those in need.

We make space in our lives for people.  We practice being present to those around us by leaving room in our day to listen and respond to the needs of others.
